To protect peoples rights and serve your country well you need to make sure your body is performing at its best. You can be a better cop with better health, and here we help you become a better cop by giving you 5 tips that will help you stay healthy.

1)Have a good nights sleep

Having a good 7-8 hours of sleep is very important for you as an officer. It improves your blood vessels strength hence improving your whole bodies circulation system. Also, good sleep will improve your health by relaxing your muscles whilst promoting their growth and development.

For you a good lovely sleep;
– Avoid eating before going to bed.
This will not keep you awake but it prevents your muscles from been relaxed during your sleep.

– Stay away from screens.
Be it your phone, television or computer stay away from them. They will prolong the time it will take for your body to enter a deep sleep. Hence you will not be well rested.

– Reduces the brightness of your bedroom.
A bright room will keep you awake for longer periods of time.

2) Eat well

Been a cop is a very demanding job. This high demand means you need a source of quick energy boosts to perform your tasks. This makes a lot of people in the police force tend to get this energy from fast foods.

Getting the energy your body needs from fast foods isn’t healthy for you because fast foods have a lot of cholesterol, which can result in obesity or atherosclerosis. Whats more these fast foods have a high content of sodium, which in high levels increases blood pressure leading to hypertension, stroke and heart failure.

There is a wide range of healthier foods you can eat to supply you with the energy you need. Here are some of them:
– Bananas
– Apples
– Strawberries
– Grapes
– Avocado
– If you like eating fried meat or chicken replace that with fried fish.
– Instead of coffee try green tea
– Eggs

3) Staying Hydrated

With a really busy schedule, it is really easy to forget to replace the fluids your body lost during the day. Not having enough water will drastically reduce your muscles performance, and increase stress and fatigue. So make sure you drink water often to reduce stress and improve your muscles performance.

So as a cop in order for you to stay healthy drink about 8 cups of water.

4) Regular exercise for good health

As it has been said for a very long time having a good work out routine will help prevent a lot of diseases from coming your way. Whats more, a good routine doesn’t just prevent diseases it also improves various areas of the body such as circulatory system, Respiratory system, and your nervous system. One other thing about having good exercise is that it gives you a happier life.

With your very busy schedule, it can be hard to find time for a good work out. But even a jog around your house in the morning is a good start.

5) Having the right tactical boot will give you better health

This is very vital for every police officer. Because mobility is one of a cops greatest asset. So keep your feet healthy at all times by wearing the right boots, whether you are just driving.
